January Meet
Dear Brothers
Sairam.
It is August 2008. Even as we await the Birthday celebrations
of our dear Lord,in November, our minds are all set on the 1st of January
2009, when all of us - His Children - will assemble at His Lotus Feet
to bask in His Divine Grace and Love.
Among
several other initiatives, one particular offering that we wish to make
to our dear Lord during our January Alumni Meet, is an offering of our
gratitude and love in the form of articles, as we had done last year.
The response by Bhagavan last year was overwhelming and you will find
excerpts about that episode at the end of this note.
Dear
Brother, documenting our experiences related to His physical presence
and in His omnipresence, gives tremendous satisfaction to us and also
serves as a fountain of joy and thrill to all other alumni and devotees
who get to read it. The distinctive feature of this article would be
that while remembering our days with Bhagavan we would highlight the
impact that those moments have made in our present Professional and
Personal life.
Bearing
this is mind, we request you to kindly take off some of your precious
time, relax, go down memory lane, relive those wonderful timeless moments
in His Presence and let them flow through the ink of your pen onto the
papers of Time; to remain captured for eternity!
Please
note:
The
best of these experiences would be put together in the form of a booklet
that would be placed at the Lotus Feet of Bhagavan during the occasion.
The focus would basically be on one or more of the following:
- The
relevance and practicality of Bhagavan's Teachings with specific focus
on your profession (please illustrate with an interesting incident or
episode in your professional career);
- The
experiences and nectarine interactions of the Students with Bhagavan
in Prasanthi Nilayam / Brindavan;
- The
special place of the students in the Heart of Bhagavan;
- The
unseen Hand of Bhagavan in the life of His students;
- The
miracles, both evident and subtle, that would inculcate faith and love
for Bhagavan and His teachings, and
- The
future role of the Sai Students, and how we can ready ourselves for
it.
Each
contribution should be approximately 2000 words and must be sent as
an MS Word file attachment, Kindly attach any relevant pictures you
may have via email to the following ids. Bhagavan was so pleased with
the photographs included in the articles last year, as you will read
in the narration about Swami Blessing the articles at the end of this
note. So, please send us some good photographs.

Excerpts from Narration by brother Krishnamurthy (as written by him)
about Bhagavan Blessing the articles during last year's Alumni Meet
- 1st January 2007
"......When
I went near Swami and showed him the books....I have already turned
to the 3rd page, where the photos of all the Big Brothers were there
in colour...When Swami has gently moving his Index finger on each and
every one of them, I started to read the Name (actually from the book)...Swami
smiled and I continued...I just shared with Swami, from whatever I have
read from the book...Swami, this is a Book, having articles from our
Old Brothers, They have written, how Your teachings have guided their
lives...Swami said "Romba Santhosham"..(Very Happy)The whole
conversation was only in Tamil, I was thinking that Swami will return
the book or Give it to someone or Keep it with Him or so on ...
Let
me ask for "Pada Namaskar" and move back...But to my GREAT
surprise, Swami started to turn the pages ...What more one can Pray
for on the First day of the Year...!!! When Swami, opened a page with
a Article. I started to read the Name of the Person who has written
the article from the page....Swami liked this fun, and encouraged to
continue..I continued...i was in bliss...I read the Title of the Article
and turned the page along with Swami...Swami, spent enough time on OLD
photos, enjoyed it...He was actually, looking for more and more OLD
photos....
Again
Photo of a Brother - reading the Title and Name. For every article,
Swami said "Romba Santhosham"... Again a Photo our "Gopal
Rao's article..I told Swami, our Gopal Rao has become like this Swami,
He smiled and looked at the Photo He has created for us. I told Swami,
this is the Photo you created for us in 1988. He smiled and turned the
pages......Again Photograph - I will read out the Name and Title of
the Article.. Again Swami will bless with "Romba Santhosham".
Now
came our Brother Subash's article, I told Swami, this is our Subash
Swami, He is now in "Saudhi Arabia" and even there they are
doing our Swami's Service ...Swami said "Romba Santhosham"...I
could see the Happiness on Swami's face for every article. He turned
all the pages, till the last page. He blessed with both the hands and
Blessed me with Padanamaskar. What more one can pray for... ..
